MNS leader and Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray said that Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray should talk to each other for any possibility of an alliance. Both have each other’s mobile numbers. An alliance is not made by talking in the media.
Mumbai : Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader and Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray on Thursday June 5, 2025 said that talking in the media does not lead to an alliance. He said that Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) chief Uddhav Thackeray and MNS chief Raj Thackeray should talk to each other for any possibility of an alliance.
Amit Thackeray spoke to reporters saying that the two brothers should talk. Talking on this issue apart from both of them will not make any difference. He said that I have no problem with both the brothers coming together. He said that I have seen such an attempt of alliance in 2014 and 2017 as well, but it did not work out.
Both have each other’s mobile numbers
Amit Thackeray further said that even during the Corona virus epidemic, Raj Thackeray had supported Uddhav Thackeray while being the CM. If Uddhav wants, he can call. They have each other’s mobile numbers. They can talk to each other. He said that talking in the media does not lead to an alliance.
Amit’s comment came after Aditya Thackeray’s statement
Amit Thackeray’s comment came after Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray’s statement in which he said that if anyone wants to come together to protect the interests of Maharashtra, then ‘we will take them along too.’ Uddhav Thackeray’s son and former state minister Aditya Thackeray said that his party’s intentions in this matter are very clear.
Speculation of reconciliation between Uddhav and Raj Thackeray
Speculation is rife about a possible reconciliation between cousins Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray. Both leaders have hinted that they may ignore minor issues and join hands after a bitter separation of almost two decades. MNS chief Raj Thackeray has said that it is not difficult to unite for the benefit of Marathi-speaking people. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray said that he is also ready to forget minor quarrels, provided those working against the interests of Maharashtra are not included. In fact, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Raj Thackeray’s party MNS supported the BJP in Maharashtra, but just six months later both fought the assembly elections separately.
Aditya should meet Raj Thackeray for alliance: Mahajan
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Prakash Mahajan said that if the Shiv Sena (UBT) is really serious about the alliance between the two parties, then its leader Aditya Thackeray should come forward and meet Raj Thackeray. Mahajan said on Wednesday June 4, 2025 that only a big and respected leader of the Shiv Sena led by former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray should go to MNS President Raj Thackeray to discuss a possible alliance. He said that if a junior leader is sent for talks, then Raj Thackeray will also send a junior official.
