Journalism Students from Pragati College Conduct Educational Visit to the Legislative Assembly Complex Nava Raipur

Students from the BAMC (Department of Mass Communication) observed the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly on March 11, 2026 as part of an educational excursion.

During the visit, the students keenly observed and gained an understanding of the exchange of questions and answers between the ruling and opposition parties within the House regarding ‘Calling Attention Notices.’ Following their observation of the proceedings, the students gathered further information regarding the legislative process.

Driven by curiosity, the students posed various questions to understand how the Legislative Assembly functions.
They sought information regarding the number of sessions held by the Assembly, the procedure by which members ask questions in the House and how those questions are answered, as well as details concerning the Question Hour, Zero Hour, and Calling Attention motions.

Following their tour of the Assembly, the students met with Sangita Sinha, MLA for Balod, and Anuj Sharma, MLA for Arang-Garsiya.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Yadav, Head of the Department of Journalism, and faculty member Sanjeev Verma from the Department of Journalism accompanied the students during the Legislative Assembly visit.
