Chinese kite string (manjha) banned, strict action will be taken for violations
Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has appealed to the people of the state to celebrate the joyous festival of kites on the occasion of Makar Sankranti safely, responsibly, and with traditional enthusiasm. He said that reports of accidents caused by Chinese kite string around the festival are extremely worrying, therefore its use is completely prohibited, Sai instructed .
Chief Minister Sai clarified that Chinese kite string is banned and its use is not only a legal offense but also poses a serious threat to the general public, birds, and pedestrians. He said that safety is the government’s top priority and instructions have been given to the concerned officials to ensure strict compliance with the ban.
Chief Minister Sai has also directed that a comprehensive public awareness campaign be launched against Chinese kite string so that citizens are fully informed about its dangers and legal provisions, he added. .
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that on this auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, a balance should be maintained between tradition, joy, and safety.
He appealed to everyone to celebrate this festival together with happiness, harmony, and responsibility, CM directed .
