Lucknow : The Uttar Pradesh Board of Madrasa Education (UPBME) has officially declared the annual results for the 2026 Munshi/Maulvi (Secondary) and Alim (Senior Secondary) examinations on its official website today. Conducted amidst the UP government’s stringent and modern reforms, the examinations this year recorded an overall pass percentage of 88.26%.

Out of a total of 80,933 registered students this year, 55,788 successfully cleared the examinations.

The biggest highlight of this year’s results is the spectacular performance by the girls, who have once again proven that when it comes to academics, they are second to none. Delivering a magnificent performance, the girls have left the boys far behind.

Girls’ Dominance: The Truth as Told by Statistics

A total of 29,229 girls appeared for the examinations this year, with a record 94.30% of them passing. In comparison, although the number of boys appearing for the exams was higher, their success rate remained limited to just 85.13% (with 26,559 boys passing).

Madrasa Board officials stated that strict measures were implemented this time to ensure that the entire examination process remained completely free of cheating and entirely transparent.

All examination centers were being monitored live directly from the Lucknow headquarters. Expressing his delight over this historic success, Om Prakash Rajbhar—Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Minority Welfare and Muslim Waqf—stated that his government is committed to translating into reality the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath: “the Quran in one hand and a computer in the other.”

The splendid results of the examination system under the Madrasa modernization initiative are now evident to all.
