Ram Gopal Yadav: CM Yogi Adityanath has reacted to the comment made by SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav on the caste of Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reacted sharply to the controversial statement made by Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav on Wing Commander Vyomika Singh. CM Yogi shared a post on his X account on Thursday May 15, 2025 evening and called the SP leader’s statement not only a symbol of his narrow thinking, but also termed it against the honor of the Indian Army and the identity of the country.

The Chief Minister wrote in his post that the army uniform is not seen through ‘casteist glasses’. Every soldier of the Indian Army performs ‘Rashtradharma’, and is not a representative of any caste or religion. The Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary binding a brave daughter within the confines of caste is not only a display of his party’s narrow thinking, but is also a gross insult to the valor of the army and the identity of the country.

Raising questions on the mentality of the SP, CM Yogi said that this is the same thinking which dares to divide even patriotism for appeasement and vote bank politics. He warned that the public will respond to this ‘distorted casteist thinking’. Let us tell you that this statement of Ram Gopal Yadav was to bring Wing Commander Vyomika Singh within the ambit of caste, due to which strong reactions are being seen on social media and political circles.
