Many other BJP MLAs are also meeting senior party leaders to strengthen their claim. Their only aim is to become the Chief Minister, if not the Chief Minister, then at least get the responsibility of some ministry.

After the Delhi Assembly elections, there are many big leaders of BJP in the race for the post of Chief Minister. Many senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who have previously been MLAs, are now working with full force to show themselves as the frontrunner in the race for the Chief Minister. The main objective of these leaders is to convey their achievements to the central leadership, so that they can strengthen their claim to become the Chief Minister.

On one side is BJP’s veteran leader Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, who made his power felt by defeating Arvind Kejriwal. He considers himself to be the frontrunner in the race for the Chief Minister. He has met senior party leaders and BJP President JP Nadda several times, so that he can present his claim strongly. Pravesh Verma believes that his victory in the New Delhi seat has made him a strong candidate for the post of Chief Minister. He has seen this victory as a new example, just like Arvind Kejriwal created history by defeating late Sheila Dikshit in 2013. Prime Minister Modi was also seen patting Pravesh Verma’s back during the Delhi elections in RK Puram.

All MLAs are counting their own works

On the other hand, BJP’s two-time MLA Vijender Gupta is also in the race for the Chief Minister. He is criticizing the Aam Aadmi Party in the media by citing the CAG report. By presenting the CAG report first in the Assembly, he is trying to show his strength and his hold to the party’s top leadership by cornering the Aam Aadmi Party. Probably they believe that in this way they can strengthen their position within the party and make themselves the main candidate in the race for the post of Chief Minister.

Many MLAs met JP Nadda

Apart from this, many other BJP MLAs are also meeting senior party leaders to strengthen their claim. Their aim is only to become the Chief Minister and if they cannot become the Chief Minister, then at least get the responsibility of some ministry. Many MLAs have gone to the Parliament House and met party president JP Nadda, so that they can strengthen their position further. However, the decision on the name of the Chief Minister and the Minister will be taken only after the meeting of the Legislative Party, and this meeting is likely to be held after Prime Minister Modi’s foreign tour.
