The Ax-04 mission is back on track due to the hard work of ISRO, Axiom Space and SpaceX. This launch on 19 June 2025 will not only be a scientific achievement but also a proud moment for India. The Zvezda module is still under investigation, but the mission is being carried forward with safety.
There is a big news in the world of space. Recently a meeting was held between Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Axiom Space and SpaceX, in which important decisions were taken. In this meeting it was confirmed that the problem of liquid oxygen leak in the Falcon 9 rocket has been fixed. Also, the new date for the Ax-04 mission has been fixed as June 19, 2025.
Liquid oxygen leak problem solved
Last week, the launch of the Axiom-4 mission on June 10, 2025 was postponed after a liquid oxygen leak was found in the Falcon 9 rocket. The leak was found in the rocket’s booster, forcing the launch to be postponed. Experts from ISRO, Axiom Space and SpaceX worked together to solve the problem.

It was told in the meeting that the repair of the leak has been completed. The rocket’s booster was re-checked and now it is safe. The chairman of ISRO praised this decision and said that safety comes first. After this, the team planned to resume the mission.
On the other hand, Axiom Space, along with NASA, has started investigating a pressure anomaly in the Zvezda service module on the International Space Station (ISS). This module is part of Russia. It was recently repaired.
Axiom Space said that they are working with NASA to find a solution to this problem. This investigation is necessary for the safety of the mission. There is no major danger so far, but precautions are being taken.

New date for Ax-04 mission: June 19, 2025
Axiom Space has now set a new launch date of June 19, 2025 for the Ax-04 mission. This mission will take four people, including Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, to the ISS. The launch will take place from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon spacecraft will be used. The mission includes scientific experiments and the study of human life in space. Shubhanshu Shukla will be India’s first Gaganyaatri, who will go to space through this mission
Recent challenges and success
Earlier, the launch of the Ax-04 mission was postponed several times. There was a delay due to bad weather in May 2025 and a liquid oxygen leak in June. But the ab team says that all the problems have been resolved. SpaceX said that they will confirm the new date after the availability of the range. ISRO has also provided technical assistance in this mission, which is a matter of pride for India’s space program
