Raipur: In accordance with the vision of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Government of Chhattisgarh will execute key schemes aimed at rapid and targeted development in specific sectors through a ‘Mission Mode’ approach.
In this regard, a meeting of officials was held on Wednesday May 13 , 2026 at the Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan), presided over by Chief Secretary Vika Sheel.
During the meeting, officials informed that the State Government has launched new missions for targeted development, all of which will be operated entirely in ‘Mission Mode.’ The officials presented detailed information regarding their respective departmental schemes through comprehensive presentations during the meeting.
Regarding the ‘Chief Minister AI Mission,’ officials explained that the objective is to position Chhattisgarh as a leading state in the country in the realm of emerging technologies and innovations. To achieve this, the local youth will be encouraged to establish AI-based startups. AI technology will also be integrated into the functions of government administration; consequently, government officials and employees are currently undergoing training for this purpose. Similarly, training is also being imparted to students and the youth at large.
Under the ‘Chief Minister Sports Excellence Mission,’ the aim is to identify and nurture hidden sporting talent at the rural and grassroots levels. Athletes will be provided with necessary facilities and support. The mission seeks to prepare the state’s athletes for national and international competitions, while also enhancing the participation of female athletes in sports.
Under the ‘Chief Minister Tourism Mission,’ theme-based tourism circuits will be developed to place the state’s key tourist destinations on the global map. The mission will involve organising cultural fairs, festivals, and exhibitions, as well as promoting the ‘Homestay’ scheme at the local level. Within the tourism sector, new employment opportunities will be created for local youth through skill development programs aimed at training them as tour guides.
The ‘Chief Minister Infrastructure Mission’ aims to strengthen the state’s foundational infrastructure—including roads, bridges, and urban-rural connectivity—through a ‘Mission Mode’ approach. Rapid infrastructure development is to be undertaken across the state to accelerate economic growth.
Finally, the ‘Chief Minister Startup Mission’ is designed to foster entrepreneurship among the state’s youth and to facilitate the realisation of innovative business ideas on the ground. Financial assistance and simplified procedures will be ensured for new startups.
