Pragati College , Choubey Colony , Raipur Celebrates its Annul Day -Pragati Utsav -2024-25 with gusto

The purpose of such development is to help students grow well and be able to function effectively in all aspects of their lives.

Raipur : Pragati College, Choubey Colony, Raipur celebrated its annual day – Pragati Utsav-2024-25 with great pomp, where chief guest was Professor Baldev Bhai Sharma ji – Vice Chancellor, Kushabhau Thackeray Journalism and Mass Communication University, Raipur.

While addressing the students Chief Guest Professor Baldev Bhai Sharma Ji – Vice Chancellor Kushabhau Thankray Journalism and Mass Communication University , Raipur , said that a successful life is not just about gaining knowledge from textbooks in college, but about all-round development – which means the process of developing a student in many aspects, such as physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual , eternal and social. The purpose of such development is to help students grow well and be able to function effectively in all aspects of their lives.

Giving an example of one of his friends who got settled in Australia for better life and after many years he wanted to marry his son to an Indian girl . Professor Sharma said that only Indian girls can take care of the family and can keep it united , such is our country India, that is why it is important , we should be proud of being Indians. Unity in diversity is the basic civilisation of India, professor Sharma added .

The program started with the performing Puja of Goddess Saraswati by lighting of lamp before the Goddess By Chief Guest , Advisor and Principal of the College .

The colourful programme began with the praise of Lord Shiva in various styles of Indian classical dances followed by a dance of Maa Kali in the fierce form and the बारहमासी dance carrying the fragrance of Chhattisgarh’s soil mesmerized all the audiences.

Solo song and other cultural programs kept audiences spell-bond till the program got concluded

Let us inform you that Pragati College , Raipur , Chhattisgarh , celebrated its 25th Annual Day on the February 15 , 2025 . Many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration, including the Vice Chancellor of Kusha Bhau Thakre  Journalism and Mass Communication  University   Professor Baldev Bhai  Sharma  as Chief Guest ,Professors from many other Colleges of the  Raipur and Members of Pragati Management .  All the students and their parents were invited to this function.

The program started at 6.00 PM. with the Principal of the College Dr. Soumya Nayyar delivering her commencement speech and the lighting of the diyas by the Chief guest and others. In the first half of the program, the students from Pragati College were awarded   by certificates and mementos for their best performances in Education, Sports  and Cultural programs  taken place during the year 2024-25

The Annual Day-Pragati Utsav-2024-25 was a gigantic achievement, and it would not have been possible without the unstinting efforts of the students, teachers, and the College management, said Pragati College administrator Jyoti Thakur. Ms. Thakur said that The event was a celebration of the College’s culture, values, and achievements, and it left a lasting notion on one and all who were Present there.
