Open counseling for adjustment to the post of Assistant Teacher Science from June 17 to 26 , 2025

2621 B.Ed. qualified assistant teachers whose services were terminated after appointment in direct recruitment 2023 in the state. There will be a process of open counseling for adjustment to the post of Assistant Teacher Science (Laboratory). For this, the state level counseling proceedings will be done from Jyne 17 to 26, 2025 at SCERT Campus Shankar Nagar Raipur. After counseling, the work of issuing appointment letter for the school chosen by the candidate and verification of documents will be done by the District Education Officers from June 25 to July 4, 2025 . B.Ed candidates will have to take charge in the respective schools within 7 days of the issuance of the order.

According to the information received from the School Education Department, 2621 vacant posts have been taken from 1520 schools of 103 development blocks of 29 districts for counseling. Durg-Raipur-Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa districts have not been included in these. Due to the inclusion of a large number of SEZs in the notified areas, SEZs schools have also been included.

It is worth mentioning that as per the recommendation of the committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to consider the case of B.Ed candidates, the vacancies of schools located in Bastar Division, Surguja Division, notified development blocks and adjoining nearby development blocks and border development blocks of the state have been included. While including the attached development blocks, it has been kept in mind that they are far from the headquarters and the availability of teachers there is less.

It is also worth mentioning that in the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on April 30, 2025 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, 2621 B.Ed. qualified assistant teachers whose services were terminated after appointment in direct recruitment 2023, taking an important decision in the interest of them, it was decided to adjust them to the post of Assistant Teacher Science (Laboratory). It was decided to adjust the removed B.Ed qualified Assistant Teachers in 4,422 vacant posts of Assistant Teacher Science (Laboratory) in the state and to adjust them on non-advertised posts. Similarly, it was decided to give 3 years permission to Assistant Teachers who have passed 12th from Arts/Science stream to complete the prescribed qualification (12th Maths/Science). It was also decided to give these candidates two months special training in relation to laboratory work through SCERT and to create non-statistical posts for the remaining 355 candidates of other backward classes.

Time table for counselling

Information about counselling procedure will be published on June 13, 2025 . Publication of the list of candidates included in the counseling on a date-wise basis and publication of the list of schools for posting: June 16, 2025 , period of open counseling: June 17 to 26 , 2025 , date for issuing appointment orders by District Education Officers: June 25 to July 4, 2025 , candidates must take charge of the schools within 7 days from the date of issuance of the order.
