Details shared on Saturday, October 31, 2026, highlight how the grievance service is helping residents of remote villages access departments and resolve problems affecting education, essential services and welfare entitlements.
Riya’s father, Ajay Prasad Agariya, contacted the helpline after she was unable to obtain hostel admission. Concerned that the lack of accommodation could affect her Class 9 studies, he registered the problem through 1076.

District assessment records applicant satisfaction

More than 90 per cent of the applicants covered by the assessment expressed satisfaction with the solutions provided.
The Collector has directed departmental officers to prioritise helpline complaints and ensure that action addresses the underlying problem.
She emphasised that the purpose of grievance handling should be to deliver a genuine solution to the applicant rather than simply mark a case as closed.

Fellowship supports service delivery in districts
The Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship is an initiative of Chhattisgarh’s Department of Good Governance and Convergence, implemented in collaboration with IIM Raipur.
Following three months of training at the institute, 36 fellows from the second batch have been deployed across districts to support policy implementation and improve access to public services.
Dubey is posted in Balrampur–Ramanujganj district.
The district’s experience highlights the importance of departmental follow-up and checking whether applicants have received meaningful relief. For families such as Riya’s, that response can help remove a practical barrier to continuing education.
