IND vs ENG: Jaspreet Bumrah became the highest wicket-taker in SENA countries, leaving Wasim Akram behind

Bumrah’s role is going to be important in this series against England and he has also proved this in the first match. Boom-Boom Bumrah’s magic was seen in Leeds and with this he achieved a big achievement.

Indian team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah performed brilliantly in the first innings on the second day of the Leeds Test against England. Bumrah took three wickets by the end of the second day’s play and achieved a big feat. Bumrah is an experienced bowler of the Indian team and is the leader of the fast bowling attack. Bumrah has shown his strength in the first innings of this match and this Indian fast bowler was successful in making his mark amid the partnership of Ollie Pope and Ben Duckett.

So far all three wickets are in Bumrah’s name
India’s first innings were all out for 471 runs. England scored 209 runs for three wickets in the first innings till stumps with the help of Ollie Pope’s century and Ben Duckett’s half-century. England’s team is currently trailing India by 262 runs. By the end of the day’s play, Pope was at 100 and Harry Brook was at the crease without opening the account. So far all three wickets in the first innings for India have been taken by fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah gave an early blow

England did not have a good start and Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Jack Crawley cheaply. After this, India missed some opportunities which gave England a chance to recover. Ravindra Jadeja, one of India’s best fielders, dropped the catch of Ben Duckett on a score of 15 runs, which the English batsman took full advantage of. Duckett along with Ollie Pope added 122 runs for the second wicket. Apart from Crawley, Bumrah also dismissed Duckett and Joe Root.

Boom-Boom Bumrah’s magic
Bumrah’s role is going to be important in this series against England and he has proved this in the first match. Boom-Boom Bumrah’s magic was seen in Leeds and with this he achieved a big feat. Bumrah has become the Asian bowler to take the most wickets in the SENA countries i.e. South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia. He has left behind former Pakistani bowler Wasim Akram in this matter. Bumrah now has 147 wickets in the SENA countries, while Akram has taken 146 wickets in these countries. At the same time, former Indian spinner Anil Kumble is third with 141 wickets and fast bowler Ishant Sharma is fourth in the list with 130 wickets.
