All Party Meeting On Pahalgam Attack: After the Pahalgam terror attack, an all-party meeting called by the Centre was held in Parliament House. In this meeting, first of all tribute was paid to those killed in the Pahalgam attack and two minutes of silence was observed for the peace of their souls.
The all-party meeting called by the central government regarding the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22 has ended in the Parliament House. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Health Minister JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minority Minister Kiren Rijiju, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge along with leaders of various parties participated in this meeting.
Central government’s response after the meeting
Reacting after the all-party meeting, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said, ‘The Defense Minister informed the CCS meeting about the incident in Pahalgam and the action taken by the Government of India. This incident is very sad. Due to which everyone in the country is worried, keeping this in mind, the Government of India has also expressed its intention to take more strict action today.’
Opposition gave full support to the government- Rahul
After this meeting, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said- Everyone condemned the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The opposition has given full support to the government to take any action .
‘Efforts should be made to maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir’
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who came out after attending this meeting, said, ‘Defense Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present in the meeting. All parties condemned the Pahalgam terror attack. We said that efforts should be made to maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir’.

At the same time, AAP MP Sanjay Singh said, ‘The whole country is angry, sad and the country wants the central government to give a befitting reply to the terrorists in their own language. The way they have killed innocent people, their camps should be destroyed and action should also be taken against Pakistan… This incident happened on 22 April and on 20 April that place was opened without the knowledge of the security agencies… The security agencies had no information about this… We have demanded that accountability should be fixed and action should be taken as to why there was a lapse in security’.

After attending the all-party meeting, TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay said, ‘Security lapse was discussed. We assured the government that whatever decision the government takes in the interest of the country, all political parties will stand with it.’

Tribute paid to those killed in the terror attack
According to the information, in the all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, first of all tribute was paid to those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. Let us tell you that, Congress had demanded that PM Modi should chair the all-party meeting.
Terror attack in Pahalgam
Terrorists attacked tourists at Baisaran ground in Pahalgam on Tuesday, killing 25 Indian nationals and a Nepali national while injuring several others, in one of the deadliest attacks in the Valley after the 2019 Pulwama attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
India takes strong action against Pakistan
Following the attack, India has taken strong retaliatory measures against Pakistan for its support to cross-border terrorism. In a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah, India decided to suspend the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 until Pakistan credibly and irreversibly abandons its support to cross-border terrorism and closed the Integrated Attari Check Post.
Pakistanis directed to leave India
India has also declared officials of the Pakistani High Commission as persona non grata and ordered them to leave India within a week. The country further decided to cancel any visas granted under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES) and ordered Pakistan to leave the country within 48 hours. The Indian government has also decided to suspend visa services for Pakistani nationals with immediate effect.
