Five thousand Pakistanis living in Delhi: Shocking figure revealed from IB’s list, list handed over to police

The IB has handed over a list of around 5,000 Pakistani citizens living in Delhi to the Delhi Police to ensure their return home.

Delhi : After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India took a tough stand against Pakistan. Work is being done to send Pakistanis back to their country. Following the order of the central government, many state governments are engaged in sending Pakistani citizens present in their state back to Pakistan. About 5000 Pakistani citizens have been identified in Delhi. India’s intelligence department has handed over its list to Delhi Police.

IB has handed over the list of about 5000 Pakistani citizens living in Delhi to Delhi Police so that the return of these people can be ensured. The Foreign Regional Registration Office (FRRO) has shared this list with the Special Branch of Delhi Police and it has also been shared with the concerned district for further verification and identification.

According to the report of news agency ANI, this list includes the names of those Hindu Pakistani citizens who have long term visa (LTV) and have been exempted. The list has been handed over to the concerned district for verification and Pak citizens have been asked to return to their homeland. The number of Pakistani citizens is high in central and north-eastern districts. A senior officer said that a meeting has been called on this matter and Delhi Police has been instructed to take immediate action on the matter. Senior officers are monitoring the situation. Officers of Delhi Police’s Special Branch and Intelligence Bureau have been assigned the task of collecting information about these Pakistani citizens living in Delhi and asking them to leave India as soon as possible.

Terrorist attack on tourists, brutal murder of 26

On Tuesday April 22 , 2025 , terrorists brutally killed 26 people by firing indiscriminately at tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists who came in army uniform first asked the tourists about their religion in Pahalgam’s Baisaran Valley, checked their identity cards and then shot them saying they were Hindus. Most of the 26 dead are tourists, while two are foreigners and two are local citizens.

The lush green fields of Baisaran Valley, famous for its greenery till Monday April 21 , 2025 , turned red with blood on Tuesday April 22 afternoon. Bodies of innocent people were lying everywhere and there were weeping family members. This horrific scene refreshed the wounds of the Pulwama attack on 14 April 2019, where terrorists had carried out a suicide attack. The terrorists did something similar in Pahalgam, where they first asked people about their religion and then after being assured, they fired bullets indiscriminately, killing 26 people.

This cowardly and inhuman act of the terrorists has left only signs of terror in the Baisaran valley, which is always crowded with tourists. Till now, such a big attack on tourists had not happened in Kashmir. Last year, on the night of May 18 , 2024 terrorists attacked at two places. One of these was near Pahalgam and the other was in an open tourist camp.

Jammu and Kashmir government will give Rs 10 lakh to the family of each deceased
The Jammu and Kashmir government announced to give an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the family of each person killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. Along with this, the state government will give an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh to the minor injured.
