Raipu: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that providing banking services to remote rural areas of the state is a top priority of his government, ensuring that farmers, traders, and common citizens can access financial services right in their own villages. He noted that banking facilities not only accelerate economic activities but also serve as a foundation for the effective implementation of government schemes.

CM Sai virtually inaugurated three new branches of Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank from the CM Camp Office in Bagia village of Jashpur district. The new branches are located at Aara village in Jashpur development block, Kudekela in Pathalgaon block, and Chhichhli in Bagicha block. On the occasion, he also released the bank’s 12th Annual Report.

Over 44,000 Rural Residents to Benefit
Addressing the event virtually, Chief Minister Sai said that with the opening of three new branches of Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank in Jashpur district, nearly 44,000 people from 23 Gram Panchayats and 48 dependent villages will directly benefit. Residents will no longer have to travel long distances for banking services, saving both time and money.
Atal Digital Seva Kendras Bringing Financial Services to Villages
CM Sai informed that Atal Digital Seva Kendras have been set up in 268 panchayats of Jashpur district, enabling transactions worth nearly ₹15 crore so far. Plans are in place to open these centres in all panchayats by the upcoming Panchayat Diwas. These centres will provide villagers with access to banking, insurance, and government scheme-related services right in their own villages.
Sarpanch Anima Minj of Chhichhli, Manoj Bhagat of Aara, and Shashikanta Painkra of Kudekela expressed that the new bank branches will now provide all banking facilities locally to the villagers in their respective areas.
MLA Raimuni Bhagat, joining virtually from Aara, said that the opening of the bank will ensure that beneficiaries receive the benefits of welfare schemes directly through bank channels.
MLA Gomti Sai, joining virtually from Kudekela, referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Jan Dhan Yojana, noting that it has increased financial awareness among the people, and with these three new rural bank branches, the pace of development in rural areas will further accelerate. Zila Panchayat President Salik Sai also expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister.
With the inauguration of these three new branches, the total number of Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank branches in the district has risen to 30.

The programme at the CM Camp Office was attended by Mati Kala Board Chairman Shambhunath Chakravarty, Zila Panchayat members Ved Prakash Bhagat, Upendra Yadav, Sunil Gupta, Zila Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar, Chhattisgarh Rajya Gramin Bank Chairman Vinod Arora, along with public representatives and villagers from all three Gram Panchayats connected virtually.
