Marketing is a broad strategy for understanding customer needs and meeting them , while Advertising is a specific communication tactic used as part of that strategy . Marketing encompasses the entire process of bringing a product or service to market, including research, strategy, and understanding customer needs. Advertising, on the other hand, focuses on promoting a company and a brand its offerings through different media tools, such as News and Entertainment  channels , Radio, Billboards , Social Media and Out Door Advertising , Digital marketing and  Direct Mailing  etc ,

Raipur : In the program, Dr. G.K. Deshmukh, Professor and Dean, Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University , Raipur, who told in an uncomplicated language that advertising plays an important role in defining the product and creating awareness through the story. Dr. Deshmukh , while highlighting the four major pillars of marketing 4Ps: – Product, Price , Place and Promotion, told that traditional marketing has had a profound impact on customers . But in this era of digital marketing its also making a place in the minds of customers .

Dr Deshmukh further explained about the usefulness of artificial intelligence, marketing cloud, relevant and skilled professionals in the future of “Advertising vs Marketing”. Advertising and marketing helps to make customers aware about the latest products or items available in the market , he added .

Head of the Department (HOD) Commerece and Management Dr. Ram Krishna Rao and all the professors and students were present to make this program successful.

At the end of this program, the Principal of the college Dr. Soumya Nayyar thanked Dr. Deshmukh for spending his valuable time with Pragatians .

The stage was conducted by Ms. Piyali Hati Assistant Professor (Commerce ) and the program coordinators were Dr. Ashish Srivastava and Dr. Nirupama Gauraha, Assistant Professors -Commerece and Management .
