Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday May 21, 2026 directed the immediate suspension—with retrospective effect—of the Assistant Commissioner of Cooperative Societies in the Koriya district, following complaints received during the ‘Good Governance Festival’ (Sushasan Tihar).
Multiple complaints had been received regarding negligence in duty on the part of Assistant Commissioner Ayush Pratap Singh; demonstrating a zero-tolerance policy toward such conduct, the Chief Minister issued directives to initiate the aforementioned disciplinary action.
While reviewing the performance of various departments during the ‘Good Governance Festival,’ the Chief Minister also issued instructions to accelerate the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme). He emphasised that the construction of houses for eligible beneficiaries must be completed expeditiously to ensure that citizens receive the benefits of these schemes in a timely manner.
During the event, the Chief Minister also expressed his displeasure regarding the state of the education system.
Expressing dissatisfaction over examination results that failed to meet expectations, he directed the Collector to formulate a comprehensive action plan. The Chief Minister asserted that improving the quality of education remains a top priority for the administration and that concrete efforts must be undertaken to achieve this objective.
During the public interaction session (Chaupal), the Chief Minister also listened to the grievances of the common people and issued directives to officials to ensure their prompt resolution.
