Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Fiday on Augsut 15, 2025 on the ouspecious occasion of Independence Day inaugurated the photo exhibition based on the lives of freedom fighters of Chhattisgarh at the historic Town Hall located at Kachhari Chowk in the capital Raipur.

Chief Minister Sai, while underlining the importance of the exhibition, said that this exhibition based on the lives of the great men of Chhattisgarh is very useful for our youth and especially school students.

This will give them an opportunity to know in detail about the role played by Chhattisgarh in the freedom struggle, the life struggle of our public leaders and their invaluable contribution.

It is important for the coming generation to understand how important the role of Chhattisgarh has been in the freedom struggle. All these facts have been presented in a very beautiful, well-organised and impressive manner in the exhibition.

The Chief Minister said that the efforts being made by the Public Relations Department in the historic building of the Town Hall to make the people of the state aware of the glorious history of Chhattisgarh through this exhibition are extremely commendable and praiseworthy.

Chief Minister Sai also participated in the quiz competition based on information about Chhattisgarh during the exhibition and answered the questions asked.

He said that this competition includes very interesting questions related to the history, culture and achievements of Chhattisgarh. It is a pleasure to see that such comprehensive, beautiful and systematic information has been compiled at one place.

He said that by participating in the competition, he also got many new and interesting information. This is definitely very useful for children, youth and those interested in history, Sai added.

Chief Minister Sai urged everyone to not only observe the exhibition, but also participate enthusiastically in the competitions organised here.

Confluence of rare documents, historical moments and modern technology

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition presents the life stories of the brave freedom fighters of the state, their struggles, rare documents and historical moments in a lively form. Chhattisgarh’s active participation in various movements during the freedom struggle, such as the Quit India Movement and many important struggles, has also been shown in detail.

Besides information about the achievements of the ambitious and public welfare schemes of the state government and the positive changes in the state is also a part of the exhibition.

This year, the exhibition is presenting the historical and cultural facts of Chhattisgarh in an attractive manner through virtual reality technology, which is very popular especially among children and youth. The “Kon Banhi Guniya” quiz competition organised on the lines of the famous quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” is also the main attraction of the exhibition, in which everyone can participate and win prizes.

The Public Relations Department will keep it open for the general public free of cost from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm every day from 15 to 21 August.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister P. Dayanand, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Basavaraju S., Joint Secretary Dr. Ravi Mittal, Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh, officers and employees of the Public Relations Department and a large number of dignitaries were present.
