Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the poster and official website of the “Make-in-Silicon: National Symposium on Enabling Indigenous Semiconductor Infrastructure” at the Chief Minister’s residence office in Raipur, the capital on Friday September 26, 2025.

This symposium is an initiative to give a new direction to the Semiconductor Mission in India and strengthen indigenous technological capabilities in the country.

Prof. Om Prakash Vyas, Director of IIT-Nava Raipur, informed the Chief Minister that this national symposium will be held at IIT-Nava Raipur on November 7–8, 2025. Experts, industry representatives, academics, and policymakers from across the country will participate. The symposium aims to formulate a concrete strategy to strengthen India’s domestic semiconductor infrastructure.

Chief Minister Sai stated that Chhattisgarh will contribute to the National Semiconductor Mission with full commitment. He said that youth, educational institutions, and industry must collaborate to innovate and play a leadership role.

According to him, indigenous semiconductor infrastructure is the foundation of India’s digital and economic strength. This event is in line with the Government of India’s “Semiconductor India Mission” and the Chhattisgarh Government’s vision of technological self-reliance.

The Chief Minister said that such efforts will prepare youth for global competition.

Convener Dr. Manoj Majumdar, Dr. Deepika Gupta, and members of the organising committee were present on the occasion.
