Eight Naxalites have been killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Along with the bodies of the Naxalites, the soldiers have also recovered weapons like INSAS rifle and BGL launcher from the spot.
Eight Naxalites were killed in an encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Todka area of Gangalur police station area of Bijapur district. According to sources, the bodies of all the Naxalites killed have been recovered by the soldiers. It is being told that the encounter is still going on. DRG and STF soldiers are involved in this encounter. Many automatic weapons are also reported to have been recovered from the killed Naxalites.
Earlier, the force had achieved great success in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Naxal-affected district Gariaband. 14 Naxalites were killed in Bhalu Diggi forest located at Kulhadi Ghat. At the same time, a soldier of CRPF’s Cobra unit was also injured. Bodies and weapons of 14 Naxalites were recovered.

Whereas the security forces have succeeded in killing eight Naxalites in the encounter, the soldiers have also recovered weapons like INSAS rifle and BGL launcher along with the bodies of the Naxalites from the spot of the incident. Police claim that more than eight Naxalites have been killed in this encounter and many Naxalites have also been injured. Search is still going on in the area. Officers are saying that they will give complete information only after the party returns.
