Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh today on Monday February 24, 2025 inspected the new assembly building under construction in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. During this, he took detailed information about the progress of various construction works from the Public Works Department officials and gave guidelines.

Raipur : Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh reviewed the progress of construction works of Vidhan Sabha Sadan, Secretariat, Chief Minister’s Office, Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Leader of Opposition’s chambers, Central Hall and Library. He also gathered information about the status of other important rooms under construction in the Assembly building including Ministers’ chambers, meeting hall, lounge, canteen, auditorium.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the new Assembly building being constructed in Nava Raipur will not only be equipped with the most modern facilities, but it will also reflect the democratic traditions of Chhattisgarh. Dr. Raman Singh directed the officials to complete the construction work within the stipulated time frame while ensuring excellence in quality. He said that the new Assembly building will further strengthen the democratic system of Chhattisgarh. It will provide the most modern facilities to conduct legislative work smoothly.

On the occasion, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Forest and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kedar Kashyap, Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma along with other ministers, MLAs, senior officers of the Assembly Secretariat and officers of the Public Works Department were present.
