Ghosh had met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after the inauguration of the newly built Jagannath temple in Digha, East Medinipur. There was a lot of controversy about this. Then many BJP leaders accused him of getting closer to the TMC supremo and betraying the sentiments of party workers. However, Ghosh had rejected all the allegations.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a visit to Bengal. Where he also held an organizational meeting with BJP leaders. But senior BJP leader Dilip Ghosh was absent from this meeting. Let us tell you that this was the second time in less than a week that former MP Dilip Ghosh was absent from a top leader’s program. Earlier on May 29, he did not attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public meeting in Alipurduar in North West Bengal. Dilip Ghosh’s distancing from the programs of senior BJP leaders in this way is raising many questions.

Where was Dilip Ghosh today

On Sunday, Ghosh went to his in-laws’ house with his wife Rinku Majumdar. When reporters questioned him about not attending today’s meeting, he said that it is not mandatory or necessary to invite me to every meeting. It is possible that I may be invited to some meetings and not to some.

At the same time, when asked about Ghosh’s absence from major party programs, BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar said that Dilip Da is a senior leader. I can’t really comment on his absence.

Many questions are being raised, but Ghosh dismissed all

Let us tell you that Ghosh had met Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after the inauguration of the newly built Jagannath temple in Digha, East Medinipur. There was a lot of controversy about this. Then many BJP leaders accused him of getting close to the TMC supremo and betraying the sentiments of the party workers. However, Ghosh had said that he has every right to visit the place of worship and no one can question his honesty and credentials as a BJP loyalist. However, the controversy did not stop and he was not invited to any party program.

Earlier, Ghosh had said on Saturday May 31, 2025 that I have not been invited to Amit Shah’s program on June 1. It does not matter. I will work with the party workers. Even before PM Modi’s public meeting on May 29, Ghosh had said that he was not invited by the state BJP leadership.

Sadhus and saints met Shah, expressed concern over atrocities on Hindus and infiltration in Bengal

Meanwhile, sadhus and saints from various organizations met Union Home Minister Amit Shah. They expressed concern over atrocities on Hindus in Malda and Murshidabad districts of West Bengal and cross-border infiltration from Bangladesh.

During the meeting held at Swami Vivekananda’s ancestral home, the sadhus and saints claimed that Shah urged Hindu religious leaders to unite and work towards solving broader issues related to humanity. During this, Shah also paid floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. Padma awardee Kartik Maharaj said that the sadhus and saints also discussed the issue of violence against Hindus while highlighting India’s spiritual and cultural heritage. He said that Shah had come to seek blessings, not for political discussion. A sadhu present in the meeting said that we raised the issue of atrocities on Hindus in Malda and Murshidabad districts of Bengal and infiltration from Bangladesh. However, Shah did not answer any specific question or incident.
