Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, generally the focus of the budget is on how the government’s treasury will be filled. But this budget is completely opposite to that. This budget lays a very strong foundation on how the pockets of the citizens of the country will be filled and how savings will be made, how will they become partners in development.
The country’s general budget has arrived. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called it the common man’s budget. The PM has also praised Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. PM Modi said, this budget will fill the pockets of the middle class and will accelerate the self-reliant India campaign.
PM Modi further said, today is an important milestone in India’s development journey. This is the budget of aspirations of 140 crore Indians, this is a budget to fulfill the dreams of every Indian. We have opened many sectors for the youth. This is going to drive the mission of developed India, this budget is a Force Multiplier. This is a budget to fulfill the dreams of us. We have opened many sectors for the youth. The mission of developed India is going to be driven by common citizens. This budget is going to increase power, this budget will increase savings, investment, consumption and development.
PM Modi also said that I congratulate Nirmala Sitharaman and her entire team for bringing a people-centric budget. Usually the focus of the budget is on how the government’s treasury will be filled, but this budget is exactly the opposite of that. How will this budget fill the pockets of the citizens of the country, how will the savings of the citizens of the country increase and how will the citizens of the country become partners in developmentā¦ this budget lays a very strong foundation for this.
Prime Minister said, many important steps have been taken in this budget in terms of reforms. Encouraging the private sector in nuclear energy is historic. This will ensure a major contribution of civil nuclear energy in the development of the country.
PM Modi said that this budget will ensure contribution to the development of the country. Priority has been given to the field of employment in the budget. The self-reliant campaign will get momentum. There are many possibilities for tourism in the country. Today the country is running with the mantra of ‘development as well as heritage’. Very important and concrete steps have been taken for this in this budget. In this budget, ‘Gyan Bharat Mission’ has been started for the conservation of one crore manuscripts.
He said, getting the status of infrastructure will promote the construction of big ships in the country. Apart from this, it will give impetus to self-reliant initiatives. Shipbuilding is a sector that provides important employment opportunities. Apart from this, there are immense possibilities of tourism development in the country. Let us tell you that in the general budget for the year 2025-2026, the Modi government has given a big gift to the middle class. The Finance Minister said that there will be no income tax up to Rs 12 lakh. He said that changes are being made in the slabs and rates to benefit all taxpayers. The Finance Minister has announced several big schemes. Announcements have also been made in the budget for Bihar, where assembly elections are to be held later this year.
New Income Tax Bill will come next week
This was Nirmala Sitharaman’s eighth budget. She gave a speech for 74 minutes, which is her second shortest budget speech so far. Nirmala Sitharaman said, a new Income Tax Bill will be introduced next week. This bill will focus on increasing the convenience of taxpayers. In the case of income tax, emphasis will be given on trust first, then investigate.
Gift for farmers too
In the budget, it has been announced to give complete exemption from basic customs duty to 36 life saving medicines. To increase exports, the time limit for handicraft export products has been increased from six months to one year in the budget. The limit of Kisan Credit Card has been increased from 3 lakh to 5 lakh rupees. PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana will be started in the country. 100 districts will benefit from this. Makhana Board will be formed to help the farmers of Bihar.
