Raipur/Singapore: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai arrived in Singapore on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as Chhattisgarh prepares to present its investment potential, industrial opportunities and development prospects before an international business audience at the Singapore-India Network for Growth (SING) Forum 2026.
India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Dr Shilpak Ambule, welcomed the Chief Minister on his arrival.
The visit assumes significance for Chhattisgarh’s efforts to expand its engagement with international investors and position the state before businesses looking at opportunities in India.
According to the state government, the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, has nominated Chhattisgarh for participation in the inaugural SING Forum 2026.
Organised by the Singapore Business Federation, SING Forum 2026 is designed as a high-level platform bringing together government leaders, business executives and strategic investors from India and Singapore. The Singapore Business Federation describes the inaugural forum as an initiative intended to connect leaders, capital and ideas and facilitate partnerships and investment flows between the two countries.
The forum is scheduled for Monday, October 5, 2026, at Orchard Hotel Singapore, according to the Singapore Business Federation.
For Chhattisgarh, participation provides an opportunity to take the state’s investment proposition directly to an international audience and highlight areas where partnerships, technology, capital and industrial cooperation could contribute to future growth.
Chief Minister Sai is scheduled to represent Chhattisgarh at the forum and participate in a CEO Roundtable, where discussions with leading investors and representatives of Singapore’s business community are expected to focus on investment possibilities and opportunities available across different sectors in the state.
Sai Pitches Chhattisgarh as Emerging Investment Destination
Emphasising the state government’s investment strategy, Chief Minister Sai said:
“The State Government is making determined efforts to establish Chhattisgarh among the country’s leading investment destinations through its new industrial policy, abundant natural resources, strong infrastructure, skilled human resources and the opportunities available in emerging sectors.”
The statement places the state’s industrial policy alongside its natural and human resources as part of a broader effort to attract investment.
Sai further underlined the international dimension of this strategy, saying:
“Building a strong identity for Chhattisgarh on the global investment map is a priority of the State Government.”
The Singapore engagement is expected to provide the state government an opportunity to communicate its investment proposition directly to business leaders rather than limiting outreach to domestic investment platforms.
The SING Forum itself is focused on expanding Singapore-India economic engagement. Its stated objectives include helping businesses identify opportunities in Indian states, explore investment projects and partnerships, and establish connections with government representatives and potential business partners.
For Chhattisgarh, the forum therefore offers a platform to highlight not merely its existing achievements but also the areas in which the state sees potential for future industrial and economic expansion.
The proposed CEO Roundtable will be a key component of Sai’s engagement, allowing direct interaction with business leaders and investors and giving the state an opportunity to explain its policy environment, infrastructure and sector-specific investment possibilities.
The Singapore visit also adds an international dimension to Chhattisgarh’s continuing efforts to attract new investment and strengthen its profile as an emerging destination for industry and enterprise.
Sai’s participation in SING Forum 2026 is consequently expected to focus on presenting the state’s development trajectory and investment opportunities while exploring possibilities for longer-term business partnerships with Singapore-based investors and companies.
