Raipur: During his one-day visit to Bemetara on Sunday May 31, 2026 , Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai presented the district with a significant gift of development projects worth ₹105 crore, 4 lakh, and 69 thousand. A remarkable highlight of the visit was that, despite the sudden onset of dust storms, severe gales, and rain, the launch of these development works proceeded uninterrupted; the Chief Minister successfully performed the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for all the projects through a program held at the District Panchayat Hall.
In his address, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that regardless of natural conditions, the government’s commitment to public development and welfare remains unwavering. He noted that while adverse weather conditions necessitated a change in the venue for the event, no obstacles were allowed to hinder the commencement of the development works. He emphasised that this serves as a testament to the government’s firm resolve and its dedicated approach toward public interest, Sai affirmed.
The Chief Minister remarked that development is not confined merely to construction activities; rather, it represents an expansion of convenience, trust, and opportunities in people’s lives. Projects related to roads, healthcare, drinking water, education, and social security directly impact the standard of living of common citizens, and the State Government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of various schemes reach the last person in society with ease. He noted that extending the light of development to every village, every farmer, every woman, and every needy family is the government’s utmost priority, Vishnu Deo Sai continued.
Chief Minister Sai performed the groundbreaking ceremonies for 13 development projects to be constructed at a total cost of ₹78 crore, 1 lakh, and 33 thousand. These projects include the two-lane strengthening of the Berla-Kodwa-Devarbija-Karmu route; the Bhedni-Saldha-Sindhori route; the Bahinga-Tivaraiya-Simga approach road; the Sodh-Reve-Devarbija-Akola-Khati-Sauri route; and the Mudpar Khurd-Jamghat approach road. Also included are the construction of a Juvenile Observation Home under Mission Vatsalya, an administrative building for the Home Guards, and the Gudeli-Kandarka route, alongside the construction of CC roads, drainage systems, and community infrastructure in various villages.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated five completed development projects executed at a total cost of ₹27.03 crore. These include a newly constructed ‘Hamar Clinic,’ borewell drilling works, and various road construction projects.
The Chief Minister stated that the expansion of healthcare facilities is among the State Government’s top priorities, and that health infrastructure is being continuously strengthened to ensure the availability of quality medical services in rural areas. He added that facilities such as the ‘Hamar Clinic’ would play a pivotal role in providing improved healthcare services to people right in their own neighborhoods Sai noted.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai remarked that roads are not merely a means of transportation but serve as the very lifelines of development. Improved road connectivity fosters new opportunities across sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, trade, and employment. He further emphasised that the State Government is placing special focus on expanding basic infrastructure to effectively connect villages with cities and farmers with markets, he described .
These projects, sanctioned for the Bemetara district, are set to provide a new direction to the region’s socio-economic development and will directly benefit thousands of people , Sai elucidated .
The Chief Minister directed officials to ensure that all sanctioned construction works are completed within the stipulated timelines, adhering strictly to quality standards and maintaining full transparency. He asserted that fulfilling the expectations of the public remains the government’s foremost responsibility. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new benchmarks for development are being established in Chhattisgarh; the State Government remains steadfast in its resolve to ensure that the benefits of this development reach every section of society, and that no region remains deprived of the mainstream of development. He stated that the development works inaugurated today in Bemetara district will prove to be a strong foundation for a developed Bemetara and a developed Chhattisgarh, CM noted.
