Raipur: With a firm resolve to take the Chhattisgarh government’s public welfare schemes to every citizen, a public grievance redressal camp was organised under the banner of ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival) at Gram Panchayat Jhumka in the Sarsiva Tehsil. Shri Tank Ram Verma, the State Minister for Revenue and Higher Education, participated in this camp.

Minister Verma inspected the various departmental stalls set up at the camp to assess the status of application disposal. During the program, he took significant steps towards empowering beneficiaries by presenting them with tractor keys, cheques for subsidy amounts, certificates, and other essential items.
A total of 2,310 applications were received at this camp, out of which 272 were resolved on the spot. One farmer-beneficiary received a subsidy of ₹2.50 lakh for the purchase of a tractor, while cheques worth ₹43,000 were distributed to several farmers for borewell drilling.

Similarly, Annaprashan (first solid food) ceremonies were performed for young children, and gifts were distributed to pregnant women, alongside the distribution of Ayushman Cards. Addressing the villagers, Minister Tankram Verma clarified that the state government is operating on the principle of ‘Antyodaya’ (upliftment of the last person).
“Ensuring that every eligible beneficiary of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana receives their rightful entitlement is the government’s top priority. Officials must ensure that every single application received at this camp is resolved within the stipulated timeframe.”
A Bounty of Departmental Benefits
Demonstrating proactive engagement during the camp, the administration facilitated the delivery of benefits to a large number of people through various government departments. Farmers’ land record booklets (Kisan Pustika) and land ownership extracts (B-1) were distributed, and caste certificates were issued to students.

Similarly, the Fisheries and Food Departments distributed fishing nets to fishermen and handed over new ration cards to eligible families. In addition to the distribution of disability certificates, pension sanction orders, and completion certificates for Pradhan Mantri Awas homes, the Health and Ayurveda Departments organized a medical camp to provide free health check-ups to the villagers.
The event was attended by Bilhaigarh MLA Kavita Lahre, District Panchayat President Sanjay Pandey, and Gram Panchayat Jhumka Sarpanch Dhananjay Sahu, along with Collector Padmini Bhoi Sahu and other senior officials and staff members of the district administration.
A large gathering of villagers lauded this government initiative and registered themselves for various welfare schemes.
