After winning the toss and opting to bat first, KKR got off to a poor start. Mohammed Siraj sent Ajinkya Rahane back to the pavilion without him opening his account. Angkrish Raghuvanshi, coming in at number three, also failed to make a significant impact with the bat and was dismissed after scoring just eight runs off four balls. Tim Seifert, too, was dismissed after facing 14 balls and scoring 19 runs. With their innings looking in trouble after losing three wickets for a score of 32, Rovman Powell and Cameron Green stepped up to stabilize the ship for KKR. The duo added 55 runs for the fourth wicket. Powell was eventually dismissed after scoring 27 runs off 20 balls.

Anukul Roy fell victim to Prasidh Krishna, scoring nine runs off seven balls. Rinku Singh also failed to make a mark with the bat and was dismissed after scoring a mere one run. Ramandeep Singh faced eight balls, scoring 17 runs with the help of two fours and a six. However, Cameron Green held one end firmly and, displaying magnificent batting prowess, played a powerful innings of 79 runs off 55 balls. During his innings, Green struck seven fours and four sixes. On the bowling front, for the Gujarat Titans, Kagiso Rabada claimed three wickets in his four-over spell while conceding just 29 runs. Meanwhile, Siraj and Ashok Sharma took two wickets each, while Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna claimed one wicket apiece.

Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by five wickets. In the match played on Friday, KKR, having won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 180 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Gujarat scored 181 runs for the loss of five wickets in 19.4 overs to clinch the match.
