Welfare Schemes Must Reach the Last Person: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, during his visit to Koriya district, distributed beneficiary-oriented assets under various welfare schemes at the inauguration of the Koriya Mahotsav.

At the programme, Sai handed over LPG connections to 105 eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. He said the scheme will provide relief to families from smoke-filled kitchens and ensure access to clean, safe cooking fuel, improving the health and well-being of women.

To promote self-employment and women’s empowerment, six ‘Ajivika Didis’ were provided Pink E-Rickshaws (Gramin Ajivika Express). Chief Minister said the initiative will strengthen women’s income prospects and economic independence, while also contributing to the rural economy.

In addition, 14 Swachhta Didis received ‘Garbage Rickshaws’ (sanitation vehicles) to enhance waste management services in the district. Shri Sai said cleanliness is not solely an administrative responsibility but a shared social commitment, and the active participation of women in this effort is noteworthy.

Chief Minister said the government’s priority is to ensure that welfare schemes reach the last person, so that every section of society can participate in the development process. He added that the state government remains committed to public welfare and the larger goal of self-reliance.
