Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flags off a group of 68 youth from the state for the Unity March.

Youth will participate in the march from Sardar Patel’s Karmabhoomi Karamsad to the Statue of Unity in Kevadia.

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai flagged off a group of 68 youth from the state, traveling to Gujarat to participate in the march organised on the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, from the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office in Raipur on Sunday November 23, 2025 .

These youth will participate in the national march from Sardar Patel’s Karmabhoomi Karamsad to Kevadia.

Chief Minister Sai said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation of a united India by uniting the country’s 562 princely states and areas under British rule. His strong will, unwavering determination, and tireless hard work united India.

Chief Minister Sai said that he recently attended the Bharat Parv in Kevadia, Gujarat, where he visited the world’s tallest statue—the Statue of Unity—and witnessed a vibrant glimpse of India’s cultural unity.

Chhattisgarh’s rich culture, diversity, and cuisine were also showcased on this occasion.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Unity March, to be held from November 26th to December 6th, will be attended by public representatives from across the country, along with youth from Chhattisgarh, which is a matter of pride for all of us.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that Sardar Patel’s contribution to building India’s cultural and geographical unity is incomparable. He carried out the historic work of merging the princely states, which became the foundation of India’s unity and integrity. Sao extended his best wishes and congratulations to the selected youth for the National Padyatra.

Addressing the youth, Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Singh Deo wished them a bright future and congratulated them for participating in the Padyatra.

On this occasion, Raipur District Panchayat Chairman Naveen Agarwal, former MLA Naveen Markandey, G. Venkat Rao, Shyam Narang, Rahul Tikaria, Secretary of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Yashwant Kumar along with a large number of youth, officers and employees were present.
