Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan: PM Modi’s emphasis on making India’s agriculture sector more modern; said PM

The central government has started the nationwide Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan from today to promote improvement and development in the agriculture sector. During this campaign, 2170 teams will reach more than 700 districts, 65 thousand villages and about 1.5 crore farmers across the country.

The Modi government at the Center has started the Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan across the country from Thursday May 29 , 2025 to promote improvement and development in the agriculture sector. On the occasion of the launch of this campaign, PM Modi emphasised on making India’s agriculture sector more modern. He said that under this campaign, our team of scientists is taking forward the ‘Lab to Land’ campaign to include modern technology in this sector.

What did PM Modi say

On the launch of ‘Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that now the markets are changing, in such a situation the priorities of the customers are also changing. Therefore, our effort is to bring changes in agricultural systems in collaboration with farmers and state governments and discuss with farmers how to make India’s agriculture more modern. Therefore, under this campaign, our team of scientists is taking forward the ‘Lab to Land’ campaign.

Speaking on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that in the past decades, our agricultural scientists have done good research in many areas, giving better results. On the other hand, the progressive farmers of the country have also brought big changes in the agriculture sector with their experiments. They have increased production and done successful experiments. In such a situation, it is very important that the information about successful research of scientists and successful experiments of progressive farmers reaches all the farmers. All of you have been trying in this direction since the beginning, but now it needs to be done with new enthusiasm. You will get ample opportunities for this from ‘Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’.

Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan across the country from today

It is worth noting that the Central Government has started the Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan across the country from today to promote improvement and development in the agriculture sector. Through this, farmers will be motivated towards modern agricultural techniques, scientific farming and sustainable development. This will help farmers to increase crop production capacity. This campaign was started from Odisha.

Agriculture Minister will visit 20 states

The Agriculture Minister formally started this campaign from Puri in Odisha. During this campaign which will last for a fortnight, Chouhan will visit 20 states. During the campaign, till June 12, the Union Minister will directly communicate with farmers and scientists in Jammu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi and Chhattisgarh to encourage them.
