Indian Boycotts of Chinese Products

Boycotts of Chinese Products: If we really want to teach China a lesson then every Indian will have to take a pledge that they will boycott Chinese products and buy Swadeshi ones. For this, only willpower is needed.

China has to be taught a lesson, PM Modi is also saying that stop using Chinese products. By the way, today Chinese goods are being used in every house. Most people do not know whether the goods they are buying are Indian or Chinese. Chinese imports have increased rapidly in India in the last two decades.

Actually, in the year 2020, there was a violent clash between the Indian and Chinese army in the Galwan Valley. In this clash, 20 soldiers including an Indian commander were martyred. After which Chinese goods are being boycotted in India. In the last 4 years, it is also having an effect, people have started using indigenous goods. But still a large scale kitchen items, electronics gadgets and puja items are being imported from China, which is a matter of concern.

How to protest against Chinese products?

f we really want to teach China a lesson, then every Indian will have to take a pledge that they will boycott Chinese products and buy indigenous products. For this, only willpower is needed. Also, if you buy ‘Made in India’ products, then the domestic industry will get strength and the country will progress rapidly.

China is not stopping its activities, now when the tension between India and Pakistan increased on the border, the real face of China came out. It started helping Pakistan secretly. In such a situation, if China conspires against India and then wants to take advantage of India’s big market, then it is the duty of every Indian to stop it. Now when you will not buy ‘Made in China’ goods, and then gradually Chinese products will disappear from the market, because as soon as the demand decreases,

it will affect the imports and then China will get an economic shock, then it will understand that India has now moved ahead and every Indian has woken up. In the last few years, imports from China, especially goods like toys and idols, have been opposed the most, because these are culturally and economically sensitive. Below is a list of those Chinese goods, which are directly imported from China, on which ‘Made in China’ or ‘Made in PRC’ is written, do not buy such goods at all.

Plastic toys

China’s share in toy imports is 75%. While buying toys, definitely check the brand. Avoid buying products of generic Chinese brands. The government has taken several steps to promote the indigenous toy industry. Due to which imports decreased by 52% since 2020, but Chinese toys are still available in large quantities in the Indian market.

Laxmi-Ganesh Idols (Plastic/Ceramic)

Chinese imports of idols have been a subject of widespread protest due to their association with religious sentiments. CAT launched a campaign to boycott them in 2016 and 2020. It is being claimed that the Chinese share in idols has come down from 70-80% to 10%. Along with this, imports decreased due to promotion of indigenous idols. But Chinese idols are still sold during festivals. Indians are flooded with Chinese pichkaris and colors on Holi, along with cultural significance, the use of harmful chemicals in colors is a matter of concern. A campaign is going on to promote indigenous colors. But Chinese pichkaris are still popular due to their cheap prices. Therefore, while buying, you can ask the shopkeeper before buying.

Decorative fringes (Diwali/Christmas)

Chinese fringes are sold a lot on Diwali and other festivals, because they are cheap. But their quality is very poor. CAT has also included this in the boycott list of 500+ Chinese goods. Making BIS certification mandatory has affected the import of Chinese decorative items. But it is still available in the local markets.

LED Bulbs and Lights

When you buy LED bulbs for your home, you can find out in 30 seconds whether it is Chinese or not. You can directly ask the shopkeeper for an Indian bulb.
