Proposal to set up Medanta Hospital and Varun Beverages plant in Chhattisgarh, investors met the Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur/New Delhi: Taking an important step towards big investments in the health and industry sector in Chhattisgarh, two major industry groups met Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Chhattisgarh Sadan in New Delhi on Saturday May 24, 2025 .

Dr. Naresh Trehan, founder of Medanta Hospital and renowned cardiologist, proposed to set up a state-of-the-art multi-specialty hospital in Raipur. He said that he wants to invest about Rs 500 crore in this project. This hospital will be equipped with advanced medical technology, specialist doctors, research and training facilities.

At the same time, Chairman of Varun Beverages Limited, Ravi Jaipuria, proposed to set up a carbonated soft drinks and fruit juice based plant in Raipur, in which an investment of more than Rs 250 crore will be made. This project will accelerate industrial development as well as employment generation in the state.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai welcomed both the proposals and said that the Chhattisgarh government will provide all possible support for such quality investment in sectors like health and industry. He said that the state government will consider both these projects and provide all possible help to it, such projects will benefit the public and will also provide new employment opportunities to the youth.
