Giving a stern warning to those who support the terrorists, the Prime Minister said, “We are committed to taking strict and decisive action against terrorists and their supporters. We thank Angola for supporting us in our fight against cross-border terrorism.”
Hyderabad; Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Angola’s President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco at Hyderabad House on Saturday. During this, the two leaders also held a bilateral meeting and PM Modi said that I heartily welcome President Lourenco and his delegation to India. This is a historic moment.
While releasing the joint press statement, PM Modi said that after 38 years, the President of Angola is visiting India. His visit is not only giving new direction and momentum to India-Angola relations, but also giving strength to India and Africa partnership. The Prime Minister mentioned the Pahalgam attack and said that we are unanimous that terrorism is the biggest threat to humanity.

Announcing help to Angola, PM Modi said, ‘I am happy to announce that a defense credit line of $200 million has been approved for the modernization of Angola’s forces. Repair and overhaul and supply of defense platforms have also been discussed. We will be happy to assist in the training of Angola’s armed forces.
