Raipur : Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah met the officers who played an important role in the recent operations against Naxalism in New Delhi on Saturday June 7 , 2025 and congratulated them on the historic success of these operations. He said that the Modi government is determined to free India from the scourge of Naxalism. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma were present on the occasion.

In a post on X, the Union Home Minister said, “I met the officers who recently played an important role in the operations against Naxalism and congratulated them on the historic success of these operations. I am also eager to meet the soldiers who made these operations successful in Chhattisgarh with their bravery and will soon visit Chhattisgarh and meet them. The Modi government is determined to free India from the scourge of Naxalism.

It is worth mentioning that anti-Maoist operations are being conducted by the security forces in Chhattisgarh under the direction of the Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah . Under the able guidence of Amit Shah the operation conducted by Chhattisgarh Police (which included DRG forces of District Narayanpur, Dantewada, Kondagaon and Bijapur Police) in the interior areas of Abujhmad from May 18 to 21, 2025 Twenty seven (27) Naxalites including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary and Politburo member Basavaraju alias Gaganna were killed in an encounter in the forests of village Boter on may 21, 2025 and a large quantity of arms and ammunition was recovered.

Chhattisgarh Director General of Police Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police (Anti-Naxal Operations/SIB/STF) Vivekanand, Inspector General of Police Bastar Range Sundarraj, Superintendent of Police Narayanpur Prabhat Kumar, Superintendent of Police Bijapur Jitendra Yadav and Superintendent of Police Naxal Mukt District Bastar Shalabh Singh, who were involved in this operation, were felicitated by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, Director Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka and many other senior officers were present on the occasion.
