Union Cabinet meeting today: Emphasis on caste census; PM will present the government’s agenda; Operation Sindoor will also be discussed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a meeting of the Union Council of Ministers today. In this, a roadmap for publicising the achievements of the government’s third term will be prepared. Along with this, the strategy for publicising Operation Sindoor, a military operation aimed at countering terrorism, will also be discussed.
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on Wednesday June 4, 2025 . In this meeting, the achievements of the first year of the third term of the Modi government and the publicity of Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched to attack terrorists, will be discussed. This will be the second meeting of the third term of the Modi government and the first meeting of the Council of Ministers after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In the meeting, along with the PM’s address, the Cabinet Secretary will give a presentation on the achievements of the government and Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Operation Sindoor.

According to official sources, the meeting starting at 4:30 pm will begin with the Prime Minister’s address. After this, all the important ministries will present the details of one year’s work. During the meeting, Cabinet Secretary Dr TV Somanathan will give a presentation on the decisions taken for the development of various sectors during the one-year tenure. After this, the Foreign Secretary will give a presentation on Operation Sindoor.
PM will present the government’s agenda
In his address, the Prime Minister will present the future agenda of his government. During the third term, in the cabinet meeting of August 28 last year, the PM gave the slogan of Perform, Reform, Transform and Inform and called for making India an economic superpower and keeping women, poor, youth and farmers at the center of various policies. In this address, the PM will tell the roadmap to make India the third largest economy in the world and include it in the developed country by 2047.
Emphasis will be on caste census
The Modi government will complete one year of its third term on June 9. In such a situation, in the meeting of the Council of Ministers, a strategy will be prepared for the wide publicity of the decisions taken, schemes run, policies during the 11-year tenure. Among these, the decision to conduct caste census has been selected for wide publicity. For this, an action plan will also be prepared to launch a comprehensive campaign across the country by June 25. Along with this, this time a strategy will be prepared to capitalize on the attack on terrorism by India through Operation Sindoor.
