Science HOD Manu Rawani and Education Department Assistant Professor Dr. Gunjan Sharma honoured at a ceremony organised by Niji Mahavidyalaya Pracharya Sangh, Raipur

Raipur : Two faculty members of Pragati College, Raipur, were felicitated at the Shiksha Ratna Samman Ceremony 2026 held at Mahant Laxminarayan Das College in the city on Tuesday September 1, 2026 .

The programme was organised by Niji Mahavidyalaya Pracharya Sangh, Raipur, to recognise teachers for their contribution to education and the academic community.

Manu Rawani, Head of the Science Department at Pragati College, and Dr. Gunjan Sharma, Assistant Professor in the Education Department, were felicitated during the ceremony.

Recognition of Contribution to Education

The programme brought together representatives from the higher-education community and provided a platform to acknowledge teachers for their academic and social contributions.

According to the programme details, the ceremony was chaired by Gyanesh Sharma, Chairman of the governing body of Vipra College. Prof. O. P. Vyas, Director of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Raipur, attended as chief guest.

Ajay Tiwari, Chairman of the governing body of Mahant College, and Vihal Agrawal, Chairman of the governing body of Agrasen College, were listed as distinguished guests.

The felicitation of Rawani and Sharma marked recognition of their contribution as members of the Pragati College faculty and formed part of the broader initiative to honour educators for their role in strengthening teaching and academic development.
