Raipur: The mention of Chhattisgarh’s innovations and resolve to eradicate Maoism in “Mann Ki Baat” is a matter of pride for the people of the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai called it an honor for the entire state when Prime Minister Narendra Modi specifically mentioned Ambikapur’s “Garbage Cafe” and the achievements of Indian-breed dogs. The Chief Minister listened to the 127th edition of “Mann Ki Baat” in Shanti Nagar, Raipur, today on Sunday October 26, 2025.

Chief Minister Sai, while extending his greetings for the Chhath festival, said that ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a special platform that connects innovative, inspiring, and public-friendly initiatives across the country, giving national recognition to efforts that bring positive change in society. He said that Chhattisgarh’s mention in the program is a matter of pride for every citizen.

Chief Minister Sai said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the unique initiative of the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, ‘Garbage Cafe,’ which has set an example towards a plastic-free city. Here, food is provided to those who donate plastic waste—this initiative has become a wonderful example of cleanliness, recycling, and social sensitivity. Ambikapur has launched a unique initiative to clean up plastic waste from the city. Garbage Cafes are being run in Ambikapur.

These cafes provide a full meal for those who bring plastic waste. Those who bring one kilogram of plastic receive lunch or dinner, and those who bring half a kilogram receive breakfast. These cafes are run by the Ambikapur Municipal Corporation.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Prime Minister mentioned the increased enthusiasm of festivals, the Chhath festival, a symbol of social unity, and the spirit of India moving forward with renewed confidence. He expressed pride in the diminishing influence of Maoist activities. The strong resolve of the double-engine government is yielding remarkable results towards peace and security in the country. He said that through the Niyyad Nella Nar scheme, basic amenities are now reaching remote villages.

The Chief Minister said that ‘Operation Sindoor’ has filled every Indian with pride. This time, lamps of happiness have been lit even in areas once shrouded in the darkness of Maoist terror. He said that people want to eradicate the Maoist terror that had threatened the future of their children.

Sai further said that the Prime Minister also praised the decision to incorporate Indian-breed dogs into security agencies. Citing the example of a native dog in a Maoist-affected area of ​​Chhattisgarh, he said that it saved the lives of soldiers by detecting 8 kg of explosives. This proves that Indian breed dogs are more adaptable, efficient, and reliable.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also placed special emphasis on nature conservation, urging all citizens to plant trees and join the “One Tree for Mother” campaign. He emphasised the need to promote environmental innovations as a mass movement.

Chief Minister Sai said that the Prime Minister called for celebrating the 150th anniversary of “Vande Mataram” as a festival. Calling it an immortal expression of patriotism, he appealed to every citizen to participate spontaneously in singing its praises.
