Chief Minister participated in the Fight Against Global Warming Campaign program-Photo -Credit -CG-PR

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Thursday June 12 , 2025 participated in the Fight Against Global Warming Campaign program organised in the Krishak Auditorium of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University.

Chief Minister Sai said in his address that education is the key to development and it is the initial and very important link in the overall development of the nation. He said that private educational institutions have also played an important role in the expansion of education. CM Sai said that active participation of all of us is necessary to achieve the goal set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the country a developed India by the year 2047. Keeping this objective in mind, the state government has prepared the vision document of developed Chhattisgarh and continuous efforts are being accelerated in this direction.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that 25 years old Chhattisgarh is celebrating its silver jubilee today and in this journey the state has achieved historic achievements in the direction of all-round development. He said that today prestigious central institutions like IIT, IIM, AIIMS are working in Chhattisgarh, which are making a significant contribution to the development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that today the whole world is facing the serious challenge of climate change and global warming. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India has set the target of net zero carbon emission by the year 2070, towards which the country has taken rapid steps. Chhattisgarh is moving ahead in the direction of promoting green energy. Under the attractive new industrial policy of the state, investments of more than three lakh crore rupees have been received in the energy sector alone.

The Chief Minister informed that a special campaign of tree plantation is being run in the state and last year four crore saplings were planted. The state government will continue innovative programs like “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” and “People for People”.

The Chief Minister said that we should develop environmental awareness in children so that they can lay the foundation of a clean, beautiful and safe future. He appreciated all the teachers and organisers participating in this campaign and said that only through social participation can we ensure clean air, clean water and healthy environment.

On the ccasion, Chief Minister Sai appreciated the resolution of the association to plant 11 lakh peepal trees in the coming years.

Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Dr. Girish Chandel, State President of Non-Government School Operators Association Subodh Rathi, Secretary Manoj Pandey and other representatives were present in the program.

It is worth mentioning that the program was organised under the joint aegis of Chhattisgarh State Non-Government School Operators Association and Chhattisgarh State Gau Conservation and Promotion Committee.
