The next Central Regional Council meeting will be held in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh

Raipur: During the 25th meeting of the Central Regional Council held in Varanasi on Tuesday June 24, 2025 , it was decided that the 26th meeting will be held in Bastar region of Chhattisgarh. This decision is being seen as a historic initiative towards bringing the remote and challenging areas of the country into the mainstream of national policy-making.
Organising a meeting of this level in an area like Bastar is a strong symbol of the policy of inclusive development and good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
During the meeting, senior officials expressed hope that by the next council meeting, significant and decisive progress would have been made towards Naxal eradication in Bastar. With this belief, the council aims to present the Bastar region as a model of peace, stability and development. This announcement is a testimony to better coordination and collective will between the state and the Center.
Welcoming this decision, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that organising such a high-level meeting in Bastar is not only a matter of pride for the region, but it will also provide new energy to its development. He expressed confidence that with the support of the central government, Bastar is now moving towards becoming a symbol of possibilities, without any trouble , CM Sai Confirmed.
