The government is committed to the respect and prosperity of farmers: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai transferred over ₹10,324 crore to the accounts of 25.28 lakh farmers in the state at the input assistance distribution ceremony and a large farmers’ conference held under the Krishak Unnati Yojana in Rahangi, Bilha development block.

These include 1,25,352 farmers from Bilaspur district, whose accounts received an amount of ₹494.38 crore.

Giving new impetus to the district’s development, the Chief Minister inaugurated seven development works completed at a cost of ₹15.99 crore and laid the foundation stone for 82 development works worth ₹247.18 crore. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai and other guests were honored with Khumri and Ploughshare. A video based on the theme “The blessing of the Farmer Advancement Scheme, every farmer in Chhattisgarh is wealthy” was also released.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that today is a day to honor farmers. He stated that more than 25,28,000 farmers in the state have sold paddy, and that more than ₹10,000 crore has been transferred to farmers’ accounts today through the Farmer Advancement Scheme. Chief Minister Shri Sai stated that this amount is being provided before Holi so that farmers can celebrate the festival of Holi well.

Chief Ministeri Sai stated that our government is farmer-friendly and, taking into account their concerns, has introduced progressive schemes for them. This year, farmers faced no problems with gunny bags, and funds were credited to their accounts on time. He added that the government has facilitated loans at zero percent interest rates, and millions of farmers are currently benefiting from Kisan Credit Cards. He stated that a system has been established to provide farmers with the highest price for paddy, a level unmatched elsewhere.

Chief Minister Sai stated that funds are also being transferred to the accounts of landless agricultural laborers. Efforts are being made at every level to promote the prosperity of farmers, including fertiliser subsidies and the expansion of irrigation facilities, and efforts are being made to make cooperatives profitable.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the country’s illustrious Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is providing farmers with a Samman Nidhi amount of ₹6,000. The provision of over 13,000 crore rupees for agriculture in this year’s budget reflects the government’s commitment and sensitivity towards farmers. Irrigation facilities are being expanded to ensure farmers have adequate water in their fields.

The Chief Minister said that Naxalism is on the verge of elimination from the Bastar region, and we are achieving success in this direction. The resolve of Prime Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah will certainly be fulfilled by March 2026.

Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in mineral resources and is being led forward on the path of development by properly exploiting these minerals. He said that Chhattisgarh has immense tourism potential. An agreement has been signed with the National Disaster Response Force (NDDB) to promote animal husbandry in the state, and now a milk revolution is about to come to Chhattisgarh, CM Sai added.

Chief Minister Sai said that our government has worked diligently to fulfill all the guarantees of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and most of the promises have been fulfilled in the last two years of his tenure. In the first cabinet meeting held after the formation of the state government, housing was approved for 1.8 million poor families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he said .

He stated that the state government has established the Department of Good Governance and Convergence and implemented the e-office system to bring transparency to administration. The Chief Minister reiterated his resolve to develop Chhattisgarh with everyone’s participation.

Chief Minister Sai also made important announcements at the event. He announced the upgrading of the Primary Health Center in Chakarbhata to a Community Health Center, the upgrading of the Secondary School in Mangala to a High School, and the construction of a boundary wall and stage at the playground in Rahangi. He also announced ₹50 lakh for the community building of the Satnami community and ₹50 lakh for the community building of the Adivasi community in Pattharkhan, CM Sai noted.
