Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday December 20, 2025 participated in the Veer Bal Rally organised by the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission. Chief Minister Sai flagged off the rally from Marine Drive in the capital Raipur. Approximately 5,000 school students, scouts and guides, and NCC cadets participated in this grand rally.
Adventurous activities like Gatka, cultural performances, and inspiring tableaux depicting the bravery of the Sikh tradition deeply connected with the assembled crowd on an emotional level.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said that on December 26, as Veer Bal Diwas, we pay homage to the unparalleled sacrifice of the Sahibzadas of the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji — Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji. He said that the indomitable courage, faith, and sacrifice displayed by the Sahibzadas at the tender ages of only 9 and 7 years is exemplary in human history.
The Chief Minister said that even at such a young age, the Sahibzadas did not bow down to any pressure, did not waver from their faith, and made the supreme sacrifice for the protection of religion and truth.
This sacrifice is a source of inspiration not only for the Sikh community but for all of humanity. CM Sai said that this glorious tradition of Sikhism is a matter of pride for all of us. It is our moral duty to introduce the new generation to the sacrifices and values of the Sahibzadas.
He said that the initiative by the country’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi to celebrate Veer Bal Diwas at the national level since 2022 is highly commendable. This has strengthened the spirit of valor, courage, and patriotism among children and youth.
The Chief Minister said that when we look at the lives of the Sahibzadas, we feel proud of the values and teachings imparted by the Tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He established the Khalsa Panth and showed the path of struggle against injustice and oppression. His inspiring lines, “I will make one fight against a lakh and a quarter, I will make sparrows fight against hawks, only then will I be called Guru Gobind Singh,” still awaken the spirit of courage and struggle in every Indian today.
The Chief Minister said that these lines teach us that it is not resources, but courage and determination that pave the way to victory. The land of India is blessed to have given birth to such great Gurus and Sahibzadas. He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the Chhattisgarh State Minority Commission and the Education Department for this historic event.
Cabinet Minister Khushwant Saheb said that the sacrifice of the Sahibzadas shows us the path of fearlessness, integrity, and the spirit of putting the nation first. Their lives are a source of inspiration for every generation.
