Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh aka Tiger Raja has resigned from the party. Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh, famous for his controversial statements, has announced to leave the BJP amid the leadership dispute in the state. Sharing a copy of his resignation on Twitter, Raja Singh wrote in the caption, ‘The opinion of many should not be considered as consent. I am speaking not just for myself but for the countless workers and voters who had full faith in us and stood with us and who are feeling disappointed today. Jai Shri Ram.

The Goshamahal MLA had appealed to the BJP leadership in a video message a few days ago to appoint him as the state president of the party. He had said that many party workers were calling him and expressing their desire to see him on the post of president. He stressed that he was seeking an opportunity to work on this post from the party high command. Outlining his plans if appointed to the post, Raja Singh said that he would establish a dedicated cow protection wing within the party and stand as a shield for the workers working for cow protection. He vowed to take the message of the BJP to every household and talked about establishing the identity of the party as a Hindutva organisation.
