Tejas crash Live Updates: Pilot dies in Dubai crash, IAF orders court of inquiry

The Tejas fighter jet crashed at about 2:10 pm local time.

A Tejas fighter jet crashed during a demonstration at the Dubai Air Show on Friday November 21, 2025 . The pilot has been confirmed dead, the Indian Air Force (IAF) said in a statement. The IAF has also ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

In the Tejas crash video, people behind the camera can be heard gasping in shock as a thick plume of smoke billows from the crash site. Black smoke rose over the Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central as spectators looked on.
