Raipur: The ‘Sushasan Tihar’ (Good Governance Festival) initiative has emerged as a powerful platform for strengthening rural livelihoods, going beyond grievance redressal to create meaningful opportunities for self-employment. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the Department of Livestock Development in Ambikapur has successfully resolved all 507 applications received during the campaign, ensuring timely access to government support for aspiring livestock entrepreneurs.

The applications covered a wide range of animal husbandry activities, including goat rearing, pig farming, poultry farming, cattle rearing, and other livestock-based enterprises. By ensuring the prompt disposal of every application, the district administration has demonstrated its commitment to expanding income-generating opportunities in rural areas.

Among the district’s Janpad Panchayats, Lakhanpur recorded the highest number of applications with 96, followed by Mainpat (84), Sitapur (81), Batauli (70), Ambikapur (67), Udaipur (66), and Lundra (43). Every application submitted from these blocks was processed and resolved, achieving a remarkable 100 percent success rate.

Beyond extending the benefits of government schemes, the Department of Livestock Development is equipping beneficiaries with practical knowledge to build sustainable enterprises. Farmers are being trained in modern animal husbandry practices, scientific livestock management, disease prevention, vaccination, balanced nutrition, and overall animal health care. The objective is to transform beneficiaries into confident and successful livestock entrepreneurs capable of generating stable incomes.

Animal husbandry continues to play a vital role in strengthening the rural economy by creating employment opportunities and supplementing agricultural income. The swift resolution of applications under ‘Sushasan Tihar’ has enabled eligible beneficiaries to access government assistance without unnecessary delays, accelerating the establishment of new livelihood ventures.

This achievement reflects the government’s commitment to responsive governance, efficient service delivery, and inclusive rural development. By combining timely administrative action with capacity-building initiatives, the campaign has not only promoted self-employment but also injected fresh momentum into the local economy, paving the way for sustainable growth and greater prosperity in rural communities.
