Hyderabad, who came to bat first after losing the toss, scored 143 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs with the help of Heinrich Klaasen’s 71-run innings. In reply, the five-time winner team scored 146 runs for the loss of three wickets in 15.4 overs and won the match. Jaydev Unadkat, Ishan Malinga and Zeeshan Ansari took one wicket each for Hyderabad.

Klaasen completed his first half-century of this IPL in 34 balls. He managed to score a personal score of 71 runs in 44 balls.
