Raipur: Sharda Dham a famous religious and natural tourist place located on the interstate border of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, has been included in the list of identified tourist places of the state by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board on the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
The Tourism Board has issued a circular in this reagard
The decision of the board will give a new identity to the holiest tourist place. The board will be able to provide budget for its promotion as well as development of basic facilities for tourists.
Shard Dham is a confluence of faith and knowledge
A unique confluence of faith and knowledge acquisition of Goddes of knowledge and wisdom Maa Saraswati can be seen in Sharda Dham . The shrine has special arrangements made for acquiring knowledge for the needy children of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand state to stay and study. Sharda Dham Committee Chairman Rajkumar Singh said that the shrine has a pecial guiding institute, free arrangements have been made for the children’s accommodation, food and teaching . Whatever expenses are incurred for the children’s accommodation and imparting knowledge , the committee meets them with the help of devotees.
Sharda Dham is full of natural beauty. The famous religious tourist place is located in Duldula block, about 30 kilometers away from the district headquarters Jashpur. The famous temple of Mother Saraswati is surrounded by dense forest on all sides. The sweet sound of the nearby Girma river captivates the devotees coming to the holy place for darshan. The Chairman of the Operating Committee said that this grand temple of Vidyadayani Maa Saraswati has been built completely by voluntary labour. Devotees from both the states Chhattisgarh and Jharkan have built this temple of the mother by shedding sweat. The design of the temple building has been prepared on the lines of the famous Lachlagarh Hanuman Temple of Jharkhand.
Jashpur is developing as a tourism hub
It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is working rapidly towards developing the tourism industry in the forest region of Jashpur. Ten crore rupees have been sanctioned under the Bharat Darshan Yojana for the development of Mayali Nature Camp located in Kunkuri block. Madheshwar Mahadev located here has recently been recognised by the Golden Book of World Records as the world’s largest natural Shivalinga.
besides , CM Vishnu Deo Sai has taken a big step towards connecting the district to the tourism map and has announced the construction of a bridge on the lines of Laxman Jhula at Kotebiradham located in Farasbahar block. More over the work is being done rapidly towards developing tourist places like Desdekkha, Ranidah in the district.
Chief Minister Sai’s goal is to provide employment to the people of the district by developing green industry in the district.
