Russia Offer To India: Russia says that if India buys Su-57E, it will transfer the source code as well as the technology.

Russia Offers Su-57E To India: Tensions between India and Pakistan increased after Operation Sindoor. After which there is constant discussion about fifth generation fighter jets. In this sequence, Russia has once again offered India to give the export variant of the fifth generation Su-57E fight jet. The proposal emphasizes localization and integration of Indian systems.

The Su-57E will include key technologies planned for India’s Super-30 jet, including GaN-based AESA radar and India-developed mission computer. The move is aimed at ensuring commonality with the Super-30 program, enabling the Indian Air Force (IAF) to equip the Su-57E with indigenously developed air-to-air and air-to-surface weapon systems, in line with India’s efforts for self-reliance in defense manufacturing.

Will this be a profitable deal?

The Su-57E offer is based on the technical infrastructure of the Super-30 jet, which is an upgraded version of the IAF’s Su-30MKI fleet. The inclusion of a gallium nitride (GaN) based active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar and Indian mission computer will not only enhance the capacity of the Su-57E but also streamline maintenance and operational logistics by ensuring commonality with the Super-30 jet.

This integration will help the Su-57E to carry Indian origin weapons beyond visual range air to air missiles and air to surface missiles. This will reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and will also be in sync with the Make in India initiative.

Russia says that if India wants, it can also make changes in the Su-57E as per its requirement. Companies that make Sukhoi fighter jets can also make it. Russia is even ready to provide its source code and technology.

What is the specialty of Su-57E?

This fifth generation fighter jet is equipped with all the features that a fifth generation stealth fighter jet should have. It has a stealth design, due to which it is difficult to detect by modern radars. Due to this, it can escape detection by the enemy. The R-37 M missiles fitted in this fighter jet can hit targets up to 400 km. Russia says that this fighter jet is more lethal than Rafale.
