Raipur Literature Festival – 2026: Convenient Transportation Arrangements for the Public: A Confluence of Literature, Culture, and Ideas from January 23rd to 25th at Purkhauti Muktangan, Nava Raipur

Raipur: To showcase Chhattisgarh’s rich literary, cultural, and intellectual traditions on a national platform, the grand Raipur Literature Festival – 2026 is being organised from January 23rd to 25th, 2026, at Purkhauti Muktangan in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar.

Keeping in mind the convenience of citizens, literature enthusiasts, students, and youth, the government has made special arrangements for easy and free transportation to the festival venue, so that as many people as possible can participate in this three-day literary festival without any hindrance.

Under this arrangement, a total of 6 special bus routes have been designated to ensure connectivity from various parts of Raipur city to Purkhauti Muktangan, Nava Raipur. These buses will operate on all three days at scheduled times: 9:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, 3:00 PM, and 4:30 PM.

Route No. 1 will start from Tatibandh and proceed via Sarona, Raipur Chowk, Kushalpur, Bhathagaon Chowk, Santoshi Nagar Chowk, Pachpedi Naka, MMI, Devpuri, Dumartarai, Mana Mod, Temri, Mana Camp, and Nava Raipur to reach Purkhauti Muktangan.

Route No. 2 will start from the Railway Station and go via Fafadih Chowk, D. Nagar, Mekahara, Shastri Chowk, Kalibari, Siddharth Chowk, Pachpedi Naka, MMI, Devpuri, Dumartarai, Mana Mod, Temri, Mana Camp, and Nava Raipur to the festival venue.

Route number 3 will travel from the railway station to Purkhauti Muktangan via Fafadih Chowk, Mekahara, Ghadi Chowk, Gandhi Udyan, Bhagat Singh Chowk, Telibandha, Avantibai Chowk, Pt. Deendayal Chowk, VIP Chowk, Agricultural University, Labhandi, Jora, Naya Raipur, and the Capital Complex.

Similarly, Route number 4 will operate from the University Gate to the festival venue via Science College, Ayurvedic College, Ashram, Amapara, Azad Chowk, Kalibari, Siddharth Chowk, Pachpedi Naka, MMI, Devpuri, Dumartarai, Mana Mod, Temri, Mana Camp, and Naya Raipur.

Route number 5 will travel from Kachna to Purkhauti Muktangan via Mowa, Lodhipara, Pandri, Shastri Chowk, Kalibari Chowk, Siddharth Chowk, Pachpedi Naka, Mahavir Nagar, Telibandha, Avantibai Chowk, Pt. Deendayal Chowk, VIP Chowk, Agricultural University, Labhandi, Jora, Naya Raipur, and the Capital Complex.

Route number 6 will operate from Bhathagaon to the festival venue via Pachpedi Naka, MMI, Devpuri, Dumartarai, Mana Mod, Temri, Mana Camp, and Naya Raipur.

The three-day Raipur Literature Festival – 2026 will serve as a powerful medium to connect Chhattisgarh’s cultural soul, folk traditions, and literary consciousness with the new generation. Eminent writers, poets, storytellers, thinkers, artists, journalists, theatre artists, and literature enthusiasts from across the country will participate in this event.

During the festival, literary dialogues, brainstorming sessions, discussions on contemporary issues, poetry recitations, storytelling sessions, book launches, cultural performances, and art exhibitions will be organized, which will give a new direction to literary and intellectual discourse.

An open mic session will also be organised as part of the festival, providing ordinary citizens, youth, and budding writers with an opportunity to showcase their talent in the form of poetry, stories, songs, ideas, or theatrical excerpts.
