Preparations begin for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh

Raipur; Preparations have begun for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh. On November 1, 2025. , Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee program at the State Festival venue in Naya Raipur Atal Nagar. He will also inaugurate the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Museum, the newly constructed Chhattisgarh Assembly building, the Academy for a Peaceful World “Shanti Shikhar” training center of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwari University, and interact with children undergoing heart surgery at Satya Sai Hospital.

Additional Chief Secretary Manoj Pingua today reviewed preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit to the State Festival venue in Naya Raipur and provided necessary guidelines. Mr. Pingua stated that Prime Minister Mr. Modi will arrive in Raipur on the night of October 31st and will attend events the following day. During this time, meetings will be held to mark the inauguration of the new Vidhan Sabha building and the launch of the State Festival. All preparations should be underway for these events. Collector Mr. Gaurav Singh provided detailed information about the preparations being made for the Prime Minister’s visit. Present at the meeting were Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary of the Public Works Department, Mr. S. Prakash, Secretary of the Transport Department, Dr. S. Bharti Dasan, Secretary of the Technical Education and Skill Development Department, Raipur Commissioner Mr. Mahadev Kavre, Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Lal Umed Singh, and officials from various departments of the district administration.

Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Pingua stated that traffic planning and parking arrangements should be made in view of the Prime Minister’s visit. Similarly, parking, drinking water, and toilet facilities should be provided at the State Festival fair site and other event venues. He also urged that the intersections of Naya Raipur be organized and beautified. For the convenience of visitors to the Rajyotsav fair site, the area should be divided into sectors and staff assigned duties. Continuous power supply should be ensured during the event, and alternative arrangements should be made. Similarly, the sound system should be of high quality. Officials from the Department of Telecommunications were also instructed to improve communication systems.

Three large domes are being constructed in front of the main stage at the Rajyotsav fair site, each featuring 60 LED screens. Seating arrangements are being made for seating. There will be two entry gates, one for departmental exhibitions. The departmental exhibition will showcase exhibits from various state government departments as well as public sector undertakings. A digital exhibition will also be set up near the main stage. A model of the Prime Minister’s residence will also be built at the fair site. Officials informed the meeting that parking arrangements for 20,000 vehicles have been made on both sides of the Rajyotsav fair site. Parking and drinking water facilities are also being provided on the routes leading to Raipur from other cities. 300 toilets will be constructed at the Rajyotsav fair site. The Health Department is building a 20-bed hospital and ICU. Additionally, arrangements are being made for 25 ambulances and a sufficient number of fire brigade vehicles.
