Pragati College students explore Tribal Museum and Mahant Ghasi Das Sangrahalaya-By-Shikha Sahu

Raipur: Students of the Mass Communication and Education departments of Pragati College on Wednesday September 24, 2025 visited Nava Raipur’s Tribal Museum and the Mahant Ghasi Das Sangrahalaya in Raipur as part of an academic excursion aimed at providing deeper insights into Chhattisgarh’s culture, history, and tribal life.


During the visit, students explored and exhibits at the Tribal Museum showcasing tribal traditions, lifestyle, musical instruments, ornaments, farming tools, and depictions of deities. At the Mahant Ghasi Das Sangrahalaya, they observed ancient sculptures, archaeological remains, rare coins, handicrafts, wildlife specimens, and natural history collections.
Faculty members accompanying the group said such educational tours offer students not just theoretical knowledge but also practical exposure, helping them connect with the state’s cultural and historical heritage.
